Animeted Stance on Fansub Releases

Thanks epdemon for posting the very informative post – it has essential information for anyone who watches Anime.

This is just a follow up stance declaring what stance we have on Anime Fansubs and how we will work with the releases.

Information

If an Anime we discuss is licensed and being distributed outside of Japan, we will mention which Fansubbing groups have subbed it for Reference and for the Freedom of Information, but not provide links to the Releases themselves, as this may offend the English Distributors or our fantastic host, Wordpress, so we will avoid any unnecessary risks.

Downloads

We support Fansubbing groups 100% if they’re subtitling an Anime that has not yet had an official licensee in the USA or English-orientated Countries, as this Blog is English, after all.

We will post links/info to Releases by Fansubbing Groups of “Unlicensed Anime”, mainly Torrent Links and XDCC Bot Commands.

Essentially we use the same policy AnimeSuki does.

Mainly, we want to thank the Fansubbing Groups for spending their time releasing Subtitled Anime so we can enjoy them as well.

Thanks for reading.
